Whitney Perkins
Founder, Reformed Pilates Collective
Whitney life has always revolved around movement. She grew up in tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, swing, and cheer, and those years taught her early on how closely movement, discipline, and self-expression are tied together.
She found Pilates after college, at a small boutique studio on the East Coast. What started as a class became a calling. Comprehensively certified through Balanced Body, Whitney has now taught for more than a decade, with training and experience across New York, New Jersey, and Southern California.
Pilates has stayed with her through three pregnancies, motherhood, and every season of change in between. Those years shaped how she teaches, and left her with a firm belief that movement should meet people where they are.
For Whitney, a person’s story matters as much as their body. She loves getting to know her clients, hearing where they’ve been, and building thoughtful, intentional sessions around what each of them needs.
reformed. pilates collective is a dream she has carried for years, and it brings together everything she cares about: movement, connection, and community. She wants it to be a place where everyone feels welcome to show up as they are, and where there’s always room to be challenged and to grow. Movement, like life, is an ongoing practice of learning, adapting, and finding out what we’re capable of.
Heidi Strudler
Heidi’s love for Pilates is twenty years strong, and the studio has become her happy place. She builds classes that are fun and fluid, with each movement flowing naturally into the next.
Her gift is meeting each person where they are, even in a group setting. She has a way of tailoring a class so that every client feels capable and empowered to succeed.
Before Pilates, Heidi worked as a neuro and orthopedic nurse, and that background shapes how she teaches today. It gave her a deep compassion for clients living with chronic pain or physical limitations, along with a lasting curiosity about the body. She’s always learning, and she’ll happily admit to being a bit of an anatomy nerd.
Heidi lives in Escondido with her husband of 36 years and their French Bulldog, Mr. Bubba. She has two grown daughters and a grandson she adores. She’s drawn to anything active, from weightlifting and HIIT to dance, and spends her downtime meal prepping, decorating, and thrifting.
Having lost and maintained 100 pounds, Heidi knows firsthand what’s possible. She believes that with hard work and the right support, anyone can become the best version of themselves.
Sandy
Sandy came to Pilates with a simple goal: to help people feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to their bodies. Before teaching Pilates, she spent four years as a classroom teacher, and that experience still shows in the calm, encouraging energy she brings to every class.
Sandy is certified in reformer, mat, springboard, and magic circle, and she has a particular fondness for a good leg series. Clients can usually count on one finding its way into her classes.
Outside the studio, Sandy spends her time with her dog, Kylo, and is always on the lookout for a new place to eat.
